• An Afternoon of Readings & Carols is inspired by the format of the Readings and Carols held at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ each December since 1992. The intent is not to tell the stories of Christmas and Chanukah, but to perform music and readings that reflect the universal themes of the season: birth, hope, anticipation, goodwill, and joy. The seasons of Christmas and Chanukah have provided the framework and texts for the great composers and writers throughout the ages. Through their sounds and words this evening, it is hoped that the spirit of the season will reach your ears and speak to each of you.

• Come join us for an evening of solos, duets, and choral performances!  We’ve had a change of venue – it is now being held at the Alliance for the Arts on McGregor Blvd.

• Join us at Lakes Park, Sunday, September 9^th, 11:30-3:30, for a Picnic in the Park.

   

  We will be in The Lodge, located near the Train Ride. The lodge is equipped with bathrooms, a kitchen and seating for 100. Additional restrooms are nearby.

   

  Join us for food, fun and getting to know one another. But first, help us out and go to the Sign-up Genius to indicate how many family members will be joining us. 

   

  Information:

  • PARKING: the closest parking lot is #3. There is NO fee for the picnic but Lakes Park will require a parking fee of $1/hour or $5/entire day. Pay machines are available in the parking lot. Please follow the directions on the machines.
  • WHERE? We have reserved THE LODGE and the shelter adjacent to it.
  • RSVP: Make sure we know how many are in your family!
  • LUNCH: we will be serving lunch at 1:00 PM – burgers & brats, salad, sides, desserts & iced lemonade/water/tea

  Note>>>If you have special dietary needs and the menu does not match your food preferences, you may want to bring along a snack.

  • FUN: while we get acquainted, there are bound to be some activities for everyone to enjoy
  • DO WE NEED TO BRING ANYTHING? If possible, we’d appreciate each family bringing a bag of chips or a dessert that we can add to the serving table.
  • WIFI HOTSPOTS are located throughout the Park 
  • CAN WE BRING OUR OWN DRINKS? Of course, you are welcome to bring your favorite beverage as long as it is non-alcoholic
  • DRESS: casual attire, of course!
