All members who sing with the choir for one full season are considered alumni.  We are so proud of the many great things our alumni accomplish!

If you are an alumnus of the City of Palms Youth Choir, send us a message letting us know what you’re up to!

CPYC was such a valuable addition to my choir experience in high school! I found that the level of repertoire was higher than that of most high school choirs, since the people coming to the youth choir are typically some of the more talented and driven members of their high school choirs. I also think that the opportunities to perform with the Mastersingers in a more professional setting was very valuable as well, and it’s something you don’t usually get to experience in a high school choir.

I am currently attending the University of Florida, pursuing a dual major in Music and Political Science on the Pre-Law track. CPYC, among other choir and solo voice experiences with Mr. Koller, has greatly prepared me for the solo and ensemble work that I participate in at the college level. I am currently in UF’s Women’s Chorale, and I am so thankful that I am able to essentially sight-read the advanced, college level repertoire we perform, all thanks to my choir experience in high school.

I’m so happy to know that the Youth Choir is going strong. I’m glad that it has continued to be successful in educating and welcoming those who have a passion for music and singing.

I am still performing and singing, and will continue to do so in the future! I will be attending the University of Central Florida in the fall, and pursing a Bachelor of Music in Performance for vocals. I am currently preparing for this transition, and I am super excited that I get to pursue vocal performance as a career.

Being in the youth choir was an incredible experience. You get some of the best vocal teaching, all the while being provided with opportunities that not even school choirs can provide. It is also a great place to make new friends and get more involved with people who have the same love for music as you do. We had so much fun during rehearsals on Tuesday evenings.

I am incredibly grateful that I was able to be a part of the City of Palms Youth Choir. It continued to help my personal skills grow, as well as how I work with others in a performance setting. It was great to have yet another place to enjoy what I love.
